When: 630pm - 9pm every Thursday night for 6 weeks
Start date: Thursday Feb 20th
End date: Thursday March 27
Location: 4 Marlborough St, Mosman Park
Price: $350 course fee. $30 clay fee.
Age Group: This course is for adults, however teenagers are also welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian. 
Parking: Please park on the north side of Wellington St, parallel to Brown Park, to respect my neighbors.

Course Description:

Unlock your creativity and explore the art of hand-building ceramics in this 6-week course, designed for all skill levels. Over the course of six Thursday evenings (2.5 hours each), you'll learn essential hand-building techniques to craft your own set of personalised plates or bowls. From shaping and forming to surface decoration and glazing, each session will guide you through the process while encouraging your individual style. By the end of the course, you'll have a unique, functional set of tableware that you’ve designed and created yourself.

About your tutor:

Jasmine Raisbeck, born 1986, is a Perth-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice includes painting, sculpture, and ceramics. Her hand-built ceramic pieces, known for their organic textures and vintage-inspired aesthetic, are highly sought after by collectors across Australia.

What to bring:

Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty (most materials do wash off) and bring a bottle of water. No prior experience is required - just bring your enthusiasm and creativity!

What's included in the course fee: 

Participants will need to purchase their own bag of clay from the instructor for $30, so they can work at their own pace and make items of a size to their liking. All other materials, including tools, underglazes, glazes (fair use policy), will be provided as part of the course fee. Firing costs are also included in the course fee.

Class Registration and Payment:

• Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot in the class.

Class Cancellations and Refunds:

• Please choose carefully, as I cannot offer a refund if you change your mind. 
• If you do need to cancel your class registration, please contact me at least 14 days prior to the class date and I will give you a credit to attend a future class.
• Cancellations made less than 14 days before the class date are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your spot to another person.
